Pre-Partnership/Nuptial Agreements:
These are formal written agreements that are entered into by a couple before marriage or a civil partnership. Their purpose is to record your intentions as to the division of assets in the result that your relationship breaks down. These Agreements are currently not legally binding for couples in a marriage or civil partnership but the courts may look at the intention in the Agreement when making their decisions.
What we can do:
We can give you free initial advice, guide you on what your options are, let you know whether you will qualify for legal aid and if not what the cost implications are for you. We can take your instructions and prepare a suitable agreement to your requirements for settlement with your intended's solicitors; when necessary we can bring in additional expertise on contract law, business, tax and other relevant areas.
