Why do you need a hosting agreement?
When a website has been developed the data needs to be stored in a location which is accessible to viewers of the internet. There are hardware and software issues and the hosting of the data is usually outsourced to a specialist company. The hosting agreement regulates the relationship and service provided. The agreement will deal with permitted content, intellectual property rights, exclusion of liability, variation, termination, uptime, backing up and security.
