Why do I need a Company Secretary?
Under the Companies (Northern Ireland) Order 1986 it was a requirement that every company had a company secretary. Whilst the Companies Act 2006 has made this optional many companies may choose to continue to have a company secretary. It is the company secretaries job to draft and file minutes of meetings, resolutions and forms with Companies House. Essentially the company secretary is charged with ensuring the company complies with statutory regulation.
