Gillian graduated in law with honours from Queens University, Belfast and then completed her Legal Practice Course at Chester obtaining a distinction before joining Wilson Nesbitt.   Gillian worked in the residential conveyancing team initially as a conveyancer, then as a supervisor and finally as a risk manager.   Gillian accepted a training contract with the firm in 2007 after achieving a place at the Institute of Professional Legal Studies. Gillian qualified with a distinction in 2009 and was awarded the Belfast Solicitors Association Prize for attaining the highest overall marks in her year and was also awarded the Thomasena McKinney Prize by the Law Society of Northern Ireland for being the best performing Trainee Solicitor of the year.

Since her qualification as a Solicitor, Gillian has specialised in debt and corporate recovery, commercial litigation, repossession and dispute resolution matters.
