Post-traumatic study due this month

The 'world's largest' study on post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is due to be published this month, Legal & Medical magazine reports.
Moving Minds, a psychological services provider, told the publication that the study will be particularly important because it is largely focused on personal injury claims related to PTSD, particularly following road accidents.
Treatments and their effectiveness will also be assessed, as will the factors which may affect treatment such as work status, socio-economic issues and the role of early intervention, the publication reports.
Clinical psychologist involved in the study Manda Holshaw told Legal & Medical that the study would reveal "very exciting real life statistics".
It is also intended to test whether the eight to 12 sessions of therapy as recommended by the health authorities are enough to treat the condition.
