Divorce book runs to second edition
23/07/2008
A book explaining divorce law for those considering going through the process has proved so popular it is running to a second edition, it has been reported.
The Coventry Telegraph explained that the book has proved a great hit among those considering consulting solicitors about a divorce.
Andrew Woolley, a family law solicitor, said there was a great deal of demand for a plain-English guide to the subject, as people often have to consult lawyers before they can understand such rules.
"The idea is not to encourage more divorce, but to ensure that those who do feel their marriage has broken down irretrievably can be properly informed about what to do," he told the newspaper.
In Northern Ireland it is possible to lodge a divorce after two years of marriage.
When one party objects to the divorce it is not usually possible to bring a case to court without the help of specialist Northern Ireland divorce solicitors.
