4 in 10 adults have personal debt concerns
Research carried out by insolvency trade body R3 has revealed that nearly 19 million adults in Britain, or 4 out of every 10 adults, have serious debt concerns.
Credit cards are the greatest source for debt worries with 51% of those surveyed citing them as being the cause of their debt problems, while 32% were worried about their bank overdrafts, and 19% concerned about loan and mortgage payments.
Debt has long been considered a way of life by private individuals and businesses alike, but the ongoing economic strain has meant that the continuous flow of money in and out has been disrupted, and banks and companies alike are moving quicker to recover debts owed.
If you are a private individual with debt concerns facing bankruptcy you should take legal advice urgently. Contact Wilson Nesbitt solicitors by calling 0800 840 9291.
