Another tax deadline looms for Employers
Employers in Northern Ireland and the rest of the UK need to submit their end-of-year forms P9D, P11D and P11D(b) by 6th July 2012 to avoid automatic late filing penalties.
After the end of the tax year employers need to complete and file key expenses and benefits forms and a form P11D or P9D needs to be filed for each employee to whom you've provided expenses and benefits during the tax year. Form P11D(b) should also be filed to declare the overall amount of Class 1A National Insurance contributions payable on all the expenses and benefits provided.
Employers should also bear in mind that any Class 1A National insurance contributions due on the above needs to be paid by 19th July 2012 to avoid interest and penalty charges.
Wilson Nesbitt Solicitors based in Belfast, Northern Ireland can assist you with submission of your end-of-year forms and calculation of the Class 1A payment due. If you need to talk with one of our tax advisors please contact us by calling 0800 840 9288.
