Smoking or passive exposure to smokers can cause lung cancer.   Exposure to asbestos increases the risk of developing lung cancer.  Heavy smokers exposed to asbestos are at a higher risk of developing lung cancer in a short period of time.  The signs and symptoms of lung cancer may include:  a persistent cough, hoarseness of the voice, shortness of breath, a dull ache in the chest or a sharp pain when breathing in deeply.

If you were exposed to asbestos and suffer from an illness as result, you may be entitled to compensation.  Should you wish to obtain an impartial and obligation free opinion on your claim then please contact either one of our experienced team members profiled on the right of this web page, telephone 0800 316 0696 or email litigation@wilson-nesbitt.com.
