Legal Aid
If you cannot afford to pay legal fees, the Legal Aid Scheme may be able to help you depending on your financial circumstances.
The Government provides money to help pay for certain types of case including personal injury claims. You may be entitled to Legal Aid for initial investigative work carried out by your Solicitor under the Legal Advice and Assistance Scheme. You will have to complete and sign the Legal Aid Form, commonly known as a Green Form.
You may also be entitled to Legal Aid for your Solicitor and/or Barrister to commence Court proceedings for you. For this, you will have to complete and sign a number of additional Legal Aid Forms for submission to the Legal Aid Department and if approved, a Civil Aid Certificate will be issued to allow court proceedings to be commenced. We will assist you with the completion of these detailed Forms.
Further information on Legal Aid is available within the Frequently Asked Questions Area.
Existing Insurance
If you have household, car or travel insurance you may already have a legal expenses policy in place. We will investigate the terms of any policy and where available, we will apply to the relevant Insurers and establish whether they will meet the legal costs of any claim.
Private Funding
If you are ineligible for legal aid or legal experts insurance and decide to fund your claim yourself, we will advise you of how much this likely to cost and the risks involved in litigation.
For more information on the different types of claims and how we can help click on one of the boxes on the left of this page.
