The latest University of Ulster Quarterly House Price Index estimates that the overall average house price in Northern Ireland is currently £139,633. That figure does not include houses sold at discounted prices at auction, which is why it is significantly higher than the official government house price index average of £96,000.

There are however variations in Northern Ireland house prices depending on region and house type.
