Motorist jailed for fatal motorway crash

Wilfred Museka, aged 31, has received an eight year prison sentence for the fatal crash caused by him driving the wrong way along the motorway while two times over the drink-drive limit.

Mr Museka was driving in the opposition direction of the flow of traffic on the motorway when the road traffic accident occurred that resulted in the death of Rebecca Caine, aged 20. He was returning from a family party in Manchester, and was said to have been so drunk that he could not recall why or how he had travelled to the border of West Yorkshire. Miss Caine was a rear seat passenger and was not wearing a seat belt. Three other people were injured in the accident.

Mr Museka has never had a full driving license, and has eleven previous motoring convictions, including drink driving. He pleaded guilty to causing death by dangerous driving, to fraud by false representation, and driving without insurance.
