Rics event to address Northern Ireland housing sector

The housing sector in Northern Ireland will be the subject of a forthcoming event in Belfast which is to be launched by the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors (Rics).

Set to take place on January 28th, the organisation's NI Housing Conference is expected to deal with a variety of property topics, such as the introduction of low carbon measures.

It will include speeches from industry experts including Simon Rubinsohn, the global chief economist for Rics, and Richard Ramsey, the chief economist at Ulster Bank.

Commenting on the event, the Northern Ireland director of Rics Ben Collins noted that subjects like climate change will be dealt with.

He said: "There are many people who want access to information that will enable them to make appropriate decisions with regard to a home purchase."

Industry stakeholders such as estate agents and housing associations are among those who are predicted to attend the Rics event.
