Write Your Will In November and The Fee Goes to Charity

This November there’s no excuse for putting will-writing off. Protect your loved ones’ future and give to a good cause.

Did you know that over half the adult population in the UK still don’t have a will?* Don’t be one of them!

WHAT HAPPENS IF I DON’T WRITE A WILL?

If you have no will in place, your assets will be distributed according to the law and not according to your wishes, meaning your friends and family could miss out on what you think is rightfully theirs. Consider the following:

  • If you are not married or in a civil partnership, your partner is not eligible to inherit under existing intestacy rules.
  • If your assets are worth less than £250,000, your children could end up with nothing.
  • Using a qualified solicitor approved by the law society can help your family avoid any complications regarding tax at a later stage.

HOW DOES WILL AID WORK?

Throughout November we are taking part in Will Aid – offering professional will writing services for free, simply asking for a donation to charity in return. You can help yourself, your family and enjoy the feel-good factor of supporting one of nine important UK charities.

The suggested voluntary donation is £100 for a single basic Will and £180 for a pair of basic mirror Wills.
